To have your computer automatically log in and start Launchpad:
Mac
- From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
- Select Users & Groups.
- Click the Lock button, then enter your account password. If you aren’t logged in as an administrator, you’re prompted to enter an administrator’s name and password.
- From the left column, click Login Options.
- Select an account from the Automatic login pop-up menu, then enter the password of that account. The account is now set up to log in automatically when your Mac starts up.
- From the left column, click the name of the user account.
- Click the Login Items tab.
- Click the + sign and select the GroundControl Launchpad.app (usually located in your /Applications folder).
- Click the Add button.
- Close System Preferences.
Windows
- Click Start, type netplwiz, and then press Enter.
- In the User Accounts dialog box, click the account you want to automatically log on. If it is available, clear the checkbox Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer.
- Click OK.
- In the Automatically Log On dialog box, enter the user’s password twice and click OK. The account is now set up to log in automatically when your PC starts up.
- In an Explorer window, navigate to
C:\Program Files\GroundControl
or where you installed the GroundControl Launchpad app. - Right-click
GroundControl.exe
and click Copy.
IMPORTANT: You must copy the executable itself, not a shortcut to the executable. - Navigate the Explorer window to
shell:startup
