Early this month, Apple announced the latest updates to iOS and Mac, coming this Fall. Here’s what we think you need to know about Apple’s latest announcements:
- We are working on iOS 13 compatibility, and expect to reach full compatibility long before iOS 13’s release.
- iOS 13 will require an updated Launchpad and an iTunes update.
- “iPadOS 13” is functionally the same as iOS 13, and will seem no different to GroundControl.
- We’ve tested GroundControl on macOS 10.15 beta, and everything looks good. Don’t fear “the death of iTunes.”
- On Windows, Apple has stated that Windows iTunes will remain practically unchanged. That’s good news — in the short term.
Outside the world of GroundControl, we’re super excited to see Apple announce more enterprise-focused features than we’ve seen in many years. iPadOS, User Enrollment, Managed Apple IDs, Custom Apps, and Extensible Single Sign-On — these are just a few of the new goodies coming to your devices.
